St. Thomas has a unique mission in our Diocese, we are a personal parish to the University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff. This means our programming exists for you. THIS IS YOUR PARISH!!
We need your help making the parish work! One way you can get involved and support St. Thomas is by becoming a Liturgical Minister, serving at the Sunday and weekday Masses! We need Lectors to proclaim the Word, Eucharistic Ministers to help administer the Precious Blood of Christ, Ushers/Gift Bearers to help greet our community, assist with the collection and bringing up the gifts and Altar Servers who assist our priest and deacon at the altar.
Interested in becoming a liturgical minister?
All you need to do is attend one of the conveniently scheduled training sessions at the beginning of each semester. For the Spring 2008 semester: training for Altar Servers and Eucahristic Ministers is Tuesday, January 15 and Wednesday, January 23 at 6:00pm, and training for Lectors and Ushers is Wednesday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 22 at 6:00pm. Only one training session is required. Pizza will be provided.

Art and Environment
Each liturgical season of the year has its own specific colors and themes. We need volunteers who are good at visualizing space, decorating, caring for plants and occasionally climbing ladders! If you are interested in helping make our church an appealing and prayerful space, please contact Laurie at stthomascm@yahoo.com. |
